Installing Docker Desktop on Windows 10

Hello to everyone who ended up on this post about Docker Desktop.

This installation is very easy, you can download the installer on https://www.docker.com/products/docker-desktop for your platform, I did for windows10.

For this you need to register do DockerHub here : https://hub.docker.com/ It’s free and gives you access to the hub.

Now make sure you have Hyper-V option active on your windows installation :

Go to Apps&Features on your Windows Settings

Click on “Programs and Features” on the right (below Related settings)

Choose “Turn Windows features on or off” on the left side and activate the Hyper-V options :

Now you can run the installer that you downloaded from Docker Hub.

To start using Docker make sure you start the application “Docker Desktop” from your desktop

And you’re good to go !

Go ahead and start pulling some docker images !
